UK Government’s Global Digital Access Programme

Idongesit Udoh is a Senior Digital Development Specialist and a Development Economist. He is the Lead Digital Adviser for the UK in Nigeria and a Programme and Policy Adviser for the UK Government’s global Digital Access Programme which operates in five partner countries – Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Indonesia, and Brazil. In Nigeria, he has worked with both local and international partners in the public and private sectors to promote inclusive digital development and the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy, such as the development of the Nigeria National Broadband Plan 2020 -2025 or the refresh of Nigeria’s National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy 2021-2026, both launched by President Buhari.

He is currently working to support various digital development and digital transformation efforts in Nigeria with international partners, including the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA), the British Council, the Association of Progressive Communications, KPMG UK, and many others.
